[As the feed flickers on--unintentionally--the viewer will be able to see the edge of a tree stump in the foreground, as well as a black clawed looking device as well as a bit of an orange glow in the upper left corner. A cluster of buildings are in the background, perhaps some of the crofts. A low hum fills the feed at first, then suddenly decreases as Chell--or what is Chell from the waist down--steps into view, and pulling the clawed device to show a sort of...mechanical bug?

Chell slips one hand into back end, her other hand supporting the underside. The midsection of the object, previously glowing orange, suddenly switches to blue, the mic catching a sort whir before the gun fires a series of bubbling blampf sounds. Single blue particle rays are shot into random places: the ground, a tree, the stone wall of one of the crofts. This is then followed by a series of orange rays.

...nothing.

The woman snorts in mild annoyance and utters a single word before the feed cuts out.]

[Chell pauses; while it is all too easy to recall what her environment once used to be, saying it aloud seemed strange.

She shifts slightly from one foot to the other, opting to answer the easier question.] Some walls are white, others..if there is conversion gel, the portals will work.

[As for the other..] ...problems. They were all...problems.

Conversion gel... [He marks that down.] Do you have any idea what it was made of? And what kind of problems?

[Chell shakes her head.] No, I...[She pauses, thinking back.] Moon rocks. They were moon rocks, I think.

[Lloyd's eyebrows raise.] Moon rocks.

[Well, he's heard weirder. He marks it down.] You know, we might be able to get some of those here. Funny old world, mmm?

[Chell blinks.] Here? [Her curiosity piques.] How?

Ohh, you'll be surprised what our head miner can find in those mountains! [He winks at her and straightens up.]

So, I assume that... [He glances at her shirt - yes it's the same brand that was on the gun.] Aperture made the fluid as well? Are there many trips to the moon where you come from?

[Head...miner? Hm. Something worth noting, perhaps, for later.]

Yes, Aperture made all of the gels. [And most everything else.] I..am not certain about how often they went to the moon. Several, at least.

Interesting! And what, would you say, was Apeture's main focus of development? This portal gun?

[Chell simply nods.]

I'd really love to have a good look at it if we can get it working...

[So much for later.] Who is the head miner? Where would he be found?

Mmm? [He takes his glasses off and polishes them.] She'd be found by the forge. Small woman. Big ears. Green eyes. Wears armour. Can't miss her!
